Our identity

A story of entrepreneurship that began over 50 years ago.

Founded over 58 years ago, Coronet is now a benchmark in the production of alternative materials to tanned leather, intended for the footwear, leather goods, furniture, clothing, and automotive sectors. Thanks to the vision and entrepreneurial spirit of its founder, Enrico De Marco, the company has established itself as one of the most innovative players in the polyurethane coating industry. Coronet’s constant pursuit of quality has driven the development of cutting-edge solutions: high-quality, sustainable materials designed to reduce environmental impact.

In recent years, Coronet has strengthened its international presence through strategic investments in proprietary facilities in southern China (Huizhou) and southern Vietnam (Ben Tre). This expansion is accompanied by a strong commitment to environmental sustainability. This led to the creation of BioVeg, the first bio-based line made with certified raw materials, and later the Yatay™ line, which combines the bio-based concept with certified backings—culminating in Yatay™ Z, a completely solvent-free version.

With the acquisition of Synt3 S.r.l., Coronet has formed an international group with seven production facilities, five of which are located in Italy. Founded in 1971, Synt3 is an Italian company specialized in the production of materials for paper converting and book covering. The integration of Synt3 has expanded the group’s know-how, enhancing its ability to offer high-performance technical materials for multiple application sectors, with an increasingly sustainable and technologically advanced vision.

Today, Coronet operates a commercial structure in key European markets – including Spain, Portugal, Germany, the Netherlands, and Finland – as well as in the United States and the United Kingdom. This widespread network reflects the success of a growth model based on innovation, sustainability, and industrial vision. The goal is to continue leading the evolution of alternative materials by delivering concrete solutions for a more responsible future.
