Message to the stakeholder
Coronet S.p.A. considers corporate social responsibility a central element of its strategic development and adopts an approach that values people by integrating them into a business model focused on economic, environmental, and social sustainability.
This commitment is translated into the creation of innovative products while pursuing greater environmental sustainability through initiatives aimed at reducing impacts, monitoring energy resource use, actively employees involvement, and maintaining a transparent dialogue with all stakeholders.
Thanks to this commitment and the continuous pursuit of ever-more energy-efficient production processes and emission reductions, Coronet S.p.A. has, in recent years, developed its innovative and sustainable product lines: BioVeg, H2O, and Yatay™. In particular, the company is proud to announce the production launch of Yatay Z—a patented, cutting-edge line that marks a decisive step toward sustainability. For this innovation, an entire facility has been dedicated exclusively to the production of completely solventfree materials, reaffirming the company’s commitment to reducing environmental impact.
Moreover, an in-depth study on acid coagulation has been started, a new technology that represents a potential revolution in the sector and a further contribution to sustainability.
Coronet S.p.A. strategic vision is built on a set of values consolidated over more than half a century of activity. These values inspire the company to promote responsible behaviour, contributing to community well-being and the country development in line with the expectations of current and future generations.
For the 2023 fiscal year, Coronet S.p.A. has again undertaken the drafting of its Sustainability Report, confirming its commitment to making its achievements, evaluated performance, and future objectives transparent and measurable. Innovation, Research and Development, environmental respect, ethics, and transparency are the pillars on which the company intends to face tomorrow’s challenges.

Our identity
A story of entrepreneurship that began over 50 years ago.
Founded over 58 years ago, Coronet is now a benchmark in the production of alternative materials to tanned leather, intended for the footwear, leather goods, furniture, clothing, and automotive sectors. Thanks to the vision and entrepreneurial spirit of its founder, Enrico De Marco, the company has established itself as one of the most innovative players in the polyurethane coating industry. Coronet’s constant pursuit of quality has driven the development of cutting-edge solutions: high-quality, sustainable materials designed to reduce environmental impact.
In recent years, Coronet has strengthened its international presence through strategic investments in proprietary facilities in southern China (Huizhou) and southern Vietnam (Ben Tre). This expansion is accompanied by a strong commitment to environmental sustainability. This led to the creation of BioVeg, the first bio-based line made with certified raw materials, and later the Yatay™ line, which combines the bio-based concept with certified backings—culminating in Yatay™ Z, a completely solvent-free version.
With the acquisition of Synt3 S.r.l., Coronet has formed an international group with seven production facilities, five of which are located in Italy. Founded in 1971, Synt3 is an Italian company specialized in the production of materials for paper converting and book covering. The integration of Synt3 has expanded the group’s know-how, enhancing its ability to offer high-performance technical materials for multiple application sectors, with an increasingly sustainable and technologically advanced vision.
Today, Coronet operates a commercial structure in key European markets – including Spain, Portugal, Germany, the Netherlands, and Finland – as well as in the United States and the United Kingdom. This widespread network reflects the success of a growth model based on innovation, sustainability, and industrial vision. The goal is to continue leading the evolution of alternative materials by delivering concrete solutions for a more responsible future.

Sustainable product lines
Between sustainability and innovation

Yatay™ is Coronet’s product line that combines sustainability and innovation, born from the collaboration with the Italian brand Golden Goose. Based on the idea that quality materials create quality products, Yatay™ stands out for its responsible approach to environmental and social impact. With applications in sectors such as footwear, leather goods, automotive, furniture, and apparel, it is redefining industry standards with solutions designed for a fairer and more sustainable fashion. The line includes several variants – Yatay™ Z, M, B, R, and W – each with specific features.

Products from the YatayTM line

Yatay™ Z
Yatay™ Z includes solvent-free products made from selected raw materials and FSC or GRS certified supports. Coronet has dedicated an entire facility to solvent-free production, using a patented process that guarantees zero Volatile Organic Compound emissions.

Yatay™ B
Yatay™ B includes second-generation bio-based items made with non-GMO corn biopolyols and recycled PES from plastic bottles. It uses FSC or GRS certified supports and is USDA certified, with bio content over 25%, reaching beyond 80% in some cases.

Yatay™ R
Yatay™ R includes items made with GRS-certified raw materials, recycled pre- and post-consumer. Recycled polyester gives a second life to non-biodegradable materials, helping reduce landfill and ocean pollution.

Yatay™ W
Yatay™ W includes water-based materials with aliphatic PU on recycled and GRS-certified PES supports. They offer a sustainable alternative: breathable, durable, soft to the touch, and able to reduce the environmental impact caused by dyes and chemical processes.

Yatay™M
Yatay™ M includes second-generation bio-based items made with biopolyols and FSC or GRS certified supports, integrating mycelium derived from natural processes. This innovation improves environmental impact and allows bio content to exceed 80%.
